Custom Made Suits See m; livan—Attorney - tion. Dr. J. Howard Morgan. medical ex- aminer for the town of Westerly, who made the Daniel Sullivan post-morten examination, assisted by Dr. Scanlon, and who sent the stomach to Profes- sor Whitney, together with the small amount of whiskey left in the bottle from which Sullivan drank, -for anal- ysis, received the resuit from the pro- Tessor, Tuesday. There was about teaspoonful of the whiskey left in th bottle, and Professor Whitney founs that this was largely made up ‘of wood (methyl) alcohol,.and the tests of the contents of the stomach showed the presence of wood alaghol. The post-mortem examination showed chronic interstitial nephritis, or infec- tion of the Kkidney: of Dr. Morgan ihere are two causes for the death of Mr. Sullivan, wood aicohol and chronic nephritis. In the analysis of liquor and stom- ach in the Willlam D, Perrin case, Professor Whitney found no wood al- cohol. Being of the opinion that the whis- key drank by Mr. Sullivan just prior to his death came from Plerce street or vicinit; Chief Bransfleld made H- quor raids upon three places, securing liquors in two of the raids, and find- ing evidence of liquor sale in the third, but no liquors of a suspieious or poi- sonous nature. He was satisfied, how- ever, that he was on the right trail and succeeded in getting an afidavit to the effect that the whiskey that ! probably caused the death of Mr. Sul- livan was proeured from John Cisco of Pierce street. It is farther stated that Cisco bought the whiskey from a Main street drug store. The death of Mr. Sullivan is the only one -in ‘Westerly thus far for which there is any basis for belief that it was caused Dby “poisonous whiskey.” There is sironx presumption, based on Coromer Brown’s investigation, that the deaths of Larrow, Hood, Doherty and per- haps Patti, in Pawcatuck, were due to that cause. v [ mined .probably died wood alcohol poisoning, Attorney General Greenough ordered Everett A. Kingsley, coroner for the town of Westerly, to hold an inquest to as- certain the facts and the cause .of the death of Mr. Sullivan and if pos- sible to place the responsibility. Cor- oner Kingsley will hold the inquest in the Town hall today (Thursday One May Overcome constipation permanently by proper personal co-operation with the bene- ficial effects of Syrupyof Figs and Elixir of Senna, when required. The forming of regular habits is most im- portant and while endeavoring to form them the assistance of Syrup of Figs and Elixir of Senna is most val- uable, as it is the only laxative which acts without disturbing the natural functions and without debilitating and it is the one laxative which leaves the internal organs in a naturally healthy condition, thereby really aiding one in that way. To get its beneficial effects, buy the genuine manufactured by;the California Fig Syrup Co. only, and for sale by all leading drugzists.
