It was reported to Chief Murphy on Friday by John Woodmansee that an engine he had under his shed at Thamesville had been stripped of all the brass parts, and where it was not easy to get the brass off it was knocked off, oil cups, valves and unions being thus broken, and it will require about $40 to replace the parts. There was no clue to the guiity par- ty, but after some looking about Chief Murphy learned where some_brass had been sold, and obtained it.
