Deacon Amasa Chandler, a lifelong and well known resident of the town, died Saturday at the age of 87. His death was due to acute indigestion. For thirty-seven years he was a dea- con in the Congregational church. In 1880 he represented the town in the state legislature. For many years he conducted Blmwood hall as ‘a hotel. Some ten years age he sold that prop- erty and pirchased a place near by, where he lived at the time of his death. He leaves three sons and one daughter.
