Unless you vote this ballot now and mail it in AT ONCE, your opportunity to be heard is sacrificed. The referendum board will allow a reasonable length of time for those who have not voted to cut out the ballot printed below and mail it, but that means that you must ‘cut it out and mail it AT ONCE. The voting closes within a week after you get this copy of the Leader. Counting the length of time your letter containing the ballot is in the mails, you must mark and send this ballot in TODAY if you want to be certain your vote counts. Under no circumstances will the time for voting be extended, and this is the LAST ISSUE of the Leader that will publlsh the official ballot. This is the third time the ballot has been printed in the Leader with full instructions to members on how to vote. The referendum canvassing board again points Kou.t that the success of the referendum depends on as near a unanimous vote of League members as possible. It is important that the League be able to show that practically all.its members voted. The vote will not be decisive otherwise. The League wants 1ts enemies to know that League members are interested enough in League af- ~ fairs to vote in an important League referendum concerning League ‘ affairs. t — T e — ~ League enemies would be delighted to get a chance to vote on the question of retaining Mr. Townley as president. If a majority vote it will be necessary for the national committee to select some other leader satisfactory to the members. ‘A majority of the League members voting on the question will decide the matter. ‘The ballots will be received and counted angd the result an- nounced by a committee appointed b7 the national convention which - recently met. This committee consists of Lynn J. Frazier of North Dakota, H. F. Samuels of Idaho, C. A. Lindbergh and David H. Evans of Minnesota and Mark P. Bates of South Dakota. C Townley for president of the League.” If you'desireto vote against A. C. Townley, place a cross, or “X,” in the square after the words, “Against A. C. Townley for pr2sident of the League Place a cross in only one of the two squares. Then write plainly your name and address on the blanks given : on the ballot for the purpose. Give your ‘section, township and range. If you can not give section, township and range, fill out the . last blank on the ballot with the name or number, or both, of your voting precinct or township. Your name at League headquarters is filed by section, township and range, or by name or number of your voting precinct or” township.
