S P & FS N '} ,(‘ ! S - { Nl W ects for the development of > this" country through the use of the return- ed soldier by which, the United States, lending its credit, may. mcrease its re~ : sources and its population ‘% happifiess’ of ‘its. people with itself of no more than the few h'undi'ed_.: thonsand dollars that it wxll take to. study this problem through competent men. This work should not be post- poned R HOW MONTANA SEES IT "2 Qutlook, Mont Edltor Nonpartisan Leader: The world owes every man a hvmg," but it’s up to him to collect it; and now as the farmer has come to under— stand that his weakness in that way ‘has ‘been lack of” orgamzatlon, they have now started to organize with an enthusiasm and rapidity which is re- markable. . Because we do so, we are called pro-German, Socialists, etc. It is easy enough for well paid Journal- ists to picture the farmer’s life in a bright way, but nobody knows better than the farmer that they toil from early morning to late at night, and that thousands of farmers and their families practically work the whole year around for a little more than their clothing and enough to eat. So we have discovered that we need to _get better living and more of the com- 2% SE e T forts of life. 'We must organize a.nd stick together and when the election comes around, elect our men, that will’ ‘protect ‘us against: trusts: and monop0hes and ‘middlemen, who are: ‘getting fat on the ‘hard labor of ‘the~ K farmers. Yes, my friend farmer, let us stick and work-and let.us make this a better: world. Let us stick to a fi!ush. The big fat fellows see that'they are losing power and don’t hesitate to call us .anything. But we know' that a drowning person will grab anything to hold himself, but down he goes, deeper and deeper. So we have the same newspapers that we must get ready at, papers that call’ themselves farmer papers, and yet have never told or explamed to us-how we are robbed every year in one way or other, or how we should better our- selves. But we have the Nonpartisan. Leader which is not afraid to come out with the truth. M. TOBIASON. For Sale BEAUTIFUL SHETLAND PONY MARE, two-seated buggy, bobsled, h: and bridle; almost new.
