Political Advertisment To the Voters of Bottineau County Help Beat the Old Gang The old gang in this county is almost unanimously working for my opponent. This is so because I wrote an article in the Antler American during December, 1915, supporting the principles of the Nonpartisan e. This I did at a time when the movement needed support. I did it because I thought that the movement was and is right and I was not afraid to stand openly for what was right. I subscribed for the Leader and placed it on the reading table in my high school room and also used it in my- elasses in civics and economics. I was not afraid to advertise in the Leader befor the primaries and did so. I was not afraid to buy stock in the Bottineau Courant and did so in order that the men who labor might have a county paper. I did not wait till after the primaries and then try to climb on the band on as some of the poli- ticians are doing, but supported what I thought to right at a time when . these same ‘politicians, backed by the old gang, were fighting the movement. These things have not been pleasing to the old gang which has fought the best interests of the farmer and especially the Nonpartisan League. So they have decided to_ defeat. me. In my opponent’s home ward in Bottineau Frazier received only ten votes and fifty-five were cast against him. "This should show for whom the old gang is working. " Mr. Voter, will you help to keep the old gang in power or will you help a young man who i txyingtohel himself and who is not afraid to take a definite stand on matters of principle? ; Help Beat the Old Gang by Voting for M.
