UW-YORK JUVENILE ASYLUM. plam 4t THTB FIFTERNTH ANNUAL REPORT, ‘The Fifteenth Annual Revort of the New-York Juve- nile Asylum shows the operations of the institution for tho past year to have been extensive, and its influence sel- ultary. The institution is located near the High Bridge, and is designed as a home and reform schoot ‘for vicious boys and girls, as well as a refuge for uncared for child- ren. Children between the ages of 7 and 14 years are re- ceived atthe House of Reception at No, 71 West Four- teenth-st., where they are detained 6 or 8 weeks before being sent to the Asylum, and to which they are again returned for restoration to their parents, or to be given into the care of nurses who will be as parenta to them. ‘The number of eldren in the House of Reception on the 1st of January, 1866, was 92, the number committed and surrendcred during the year, 853, aud the number reccived from the Asylum, 52. The whole number in the House during the year was 997, and the averaze, 117.
