Coroner Ellinger yesterday held an inquest in the case of John Magin, aged twenty-three, who was said to bave been killed by a man named Michael Callahan, on the 16th ult, Callahan had been arrested at the time, but Magin said that he did not know him, and the prixoner was discharged. He was rearrested on election day and held to await the inquest. Several persons yesterday testified on the inquest, but ne vne could be found who had seen the allray.
