We baveseen the worst. Good crops are grow- ing, our people are ecunomizing, our export de- mand ts increasing, the railroads recently at war have made peace, and there are no disturbing elements at work that can be discovered, It 1s | Dut natural that sanguine and shrewd observers | of the financial situation under these oircum- stances should select the present as a favorable opportunity for investment, and that 1m respon: to sheir purchases the general market shoud be frm, with an advancing tendency.
