After the transaction of some ordinary and untm- portant business a communication of considerable miterest w: some practical chemists and set forth in startling statistics that the great majority of wall papers contained arsenic and other poisonous equaily dangerous to life in quantities so large that the health of the occupants of the rooms in which | they were placed must inevitably suffer, and; to bo inconsiderable extent. Bayne, of the banking firm of L. P. Bayne & Co., No. 94 Broad street, was yesterday arrested by Deputy Sherif McGonigle on an order of arrest issued by Judge Dononue.
