Among them was the sehr Rising Sun Jones, of Boston, with coal for Boston, She parted chains, after losing jib boom and foremast, and drified into the brig Eudora, Lee, of Portland, carrying away the latter's bowsprit, with all attached, and foretopga/lantmast, and fouling schr MT Trundy, Crowley, from Porto Rico for Boston, carrying away her jibboom and peadgear, and then ran upon the beach near the railway wharf with great foree. No sooner had she struck than her mainmast went by the board, with everything attached, striking in its fall Capt Jones, and knocking him senseless to the deck, Upon examination it was found that his lee was broken in two places. and that he bad sastained Inter- nal Injuries as weil, and is not expected to recover.
