A special despatch to the Picayune, dated at Shreveport, September 16, says:—‘The number of new cases of yellow fever to-day is less than for several preceding days, andthe number of inter- ments fell from 38 yesterday to 25 to-day. It is not thought, however, that there is any abatement, but that the material for fever to work on is considerably diminished. The following is the list of interments to-day:—ann Burns, Father Quemerais, Handy Williams {corored), W. Smith, Thomas Bylen, P. Lacrossett, H. 5. Tegnor, L. Jackson (colored), one child, M. Glanton, Henry Hordman and Herman Hoedler. The Shreveport 7’mes this morning says:— The epidemic exhibits but little change, and the decrease in the number of new cases is greatly owing to want of material.
