The proprietors of the Broadway concert saloons were again arraigned yesterday at the Tombs Police Court, charged with keeping disorderly houses, Om Saturday last Captain Clinchy, of the Fourteenth precinct, assisted by a number of his command, made araid on these vile places and arrested the girls employed as well as the propri- etors. The girls were discharged and the propri- etors were admitted to bail in the sum of $500 Cach, andon Monday night their concerns were Tunning as usual. Thereupoa Captain Clinchy made ANOTHER RAID Monday night ana arrested the proprietors only. All of these people made their appearance at the Tombs yesterday, and they were a sorry lot. Mr. Daniel Perkins and John Jamieson hailed from the “New Idea’ saloon, im the basement of 598 Broad- way. Frederick Hughes, Bernard S. Zimm and Richard Valentine were taken from the Canterbury saloon, 632 Broadway. Morris Brockman and Petrol Kearchol were found in charge of a place called the “Boulevard,” in the upper part of 632 Broadway. The ‘City Assembly Rooms,’ at 636 Broadway, furnished but one victim, one Frank Ferrall. George Wood, who announces for sale at No. 656 Broadway tickets for a grand gift concert, to take place at the Academy of Music, to certain of which is attached a gift or prize, was again before the Court yesterday, charged with an infringement of the law against lotterics. The complainant in this caae was Charles Forst, who had purchased a ticket which had turned out a blank. Counsellor Howe appeared for the prisoner, wearing his green vest and choicest diamonds, as if so indicating his idea of the importance of the case. He was Very energetic in his denunciation of the ar- rest, and proposed to probe to the bot. tom’ this spasm of virtue on the part of the police at a time so near the end of the term of oftice of the Commission. He attributed their ac- tion to the influence of the HERALD, without which the raids on the disorderly houses and other places would never have been made.
