BATHS FOR THE WORKING CLASSES, To THE Eprror OF THR HERALD:— The commencement of the public free bath sya tem is undoubtedly a great gain to the poorer classes, It ls not only for purposes of recreation or enjoyment that baths are requisite. To all classes in this climate body washing is a practice in the highest degree advantageous to health, comfort and personal decency. This cannot be done to the extent required in public salt water baths.
