Count Arnia, the Catholic representative from Bavaria to Rome, to whom the whole Catholic party in Germany have looked as a champion to fight their religious battles and in behalf of the Holy See, has been with- drawn. QOUNT ARNIA REPLAOED BY OOUNT TRAUT- MANSDORF. In accordance with the instructions of the Foreign Office he has been finally replaced by Count Trautmansdorf, the latter being in- structed to take up the portfolio at Rome im- mediately. ‘THE NEW REPRESENTATIVE TO ROMB A DOL- LINGER PARTISAN. The newly appointed Minister to the Eter- nal City is a strong defender of the principles promulgated by Dr, Dillinger, and a firm par- tisan of tho new doctrine as set forth by him. A TRIUMPH FOR DOLLINGER, Io addition to the strong partisan feeling displayed in connection with the appointment of Count Trautmansdorf to the Court at Rome, the new Church party accept it as a sigaal triamph of their principles. TRAUTMANSDORF HOSTILE TO FRANOR. France cannot expect much good to result from the appointment. The Count has always been one of the determined anti-French party, and bas at all times manifested his intense hostility to that nation, especially during tho late imperial rule.
