The long contemplated excursion of the Veteran Corps of the Seventh regiment to Long Branch took place yesterday, and was a grand success, At eight o’clock the veterans assembied at their-armory, and forming in line marched to the boat, preceded by the Tail band of the regiment. The sail down the bay was a most enjoyable one. ‘The pand was stationed on the bow of the boat, and greeted the vessels of the different nations that were present with their national airs, The people on board enjoyed themselves by singing and admiring the scenery, and when at length Port Monmonth was reached a general scampering for seats in the cars Wok place.
