TAMLBT IN FORTRY AND rurLogorxy, Notwithstanding the pelting storm last mgbt Bootn's theatre was crowded, as usual, to its utmost capacity. Every seat waa occupied. It was ex- pected by some that on this occaston, tho sixth week of Booth as Hamiet. the audience would be some: what diminished by attractions elsewhere, principal among which was supposed to be the Hamict of Fechter, at Nib’o's; but, on the contrary, the attendance was no less great and select than that which has characterized the most favor- able nightafor this theatre. Toe audience last even- ing waa composed of the intellectual élite of New York, Shoddy waa not reprosented, for there was not suMcient appreciation of genius to expose her robes to the storm, ana there was comparatively tue of that gorgeousvess of dreas generally dis- played in the opora house and theatre.
