HIGHWAY ROBBERY AND ATTEMPTED MURDER.— A peddier named Henry Prince was attacked by two ruffians on Thursday night near the Weehawken ferry. The villains clubbed him till he became in- sensible, and then ropbed him of all the goods in his possession. They took nim up and carried him towards the river, with the view, no doubt, of drowning ce when they were foiled by the sudden appearance of two men who were passi to the ferry. A telegram from Portland, Me., announces the death of this gentleman on Friday night, at tne ad- vanced age of eighty-four years.
