The schooner Dos Hermanos arrived from St. Thomas with some provisions and the Leonor, from Curacao, with $30,000 worth of merchandise, which the famous gambier, F. Savifian, a friend of Baez, imported free of duties to sell in joint account with his Excellency. Jesurun went security for Savifian in that amount on the recommendation of Baez.
