The energetic pastor to whom the spiritual welfare of this thickly populated region is committed has, during the past year, visited personally every tenement and almost very room in his parish in which there were chil- Gren of an age at which they should be attending school, and has found children, between the ages of five and fifteen years, to the number of four thousand and over.
