INVESTIGATION OF FRAUDS ACAINGT THE STATE, Mr. Gaaves offered a resolution that in the opinion of thi Convention it is due to the credit of the State that the examination commenced before the Seuate Com- mutteo to ascertain the namber and eriont ef frauds committed against the interests of the State should be vigihantly and faithfally continued before the committee or some other daly appointed, until the offenders shall ve publicly exposed or brought to merited punishment and the integrity of the State fully vindicated; that in the opinion of the Convention it is the duty of the Attorney General to find out the number of such frauds and reveke whe contracts.
