Incredible as the circumstances may appear, they aro lit- erally truc:—A little over a year ago thero lived in a small village in Sweden a man by the game of Rosencrist, whose ostensible pursuit was that of a tatlor, but ramor had it that his principal reveaus wes derived from poaching and stealing, aud at last this impression ‘was so strongly confirmed that he suddenly left that lage to evade the arm of justice. He came to this co try about eight months ago and took up hia residence tn Chicago, where he in worked at bis trade. Having family he fonnd it jeult to support them in the city, and, consequently, sent them ona farm about fourteen miles from Chicago. He therepon took lodgings at boarding house, No. 144 Burnside street, and for a time no suspicions were entertained as to bia character.
