Execution of Samuel Covert at Cincinanti. y Ctxcinnats, Aug set 24, 1866, famuel Maud Covert, found guilty of the murder of ‘the Roosa family, at Deerfleld, Warren county, Onio, on the 26th of December, 1864, was hanged to-day at noon, ‘at Lebanon, the county seat of Warren county. Cucao, August 24, 1866, Caspor Direcke, a German, the murderer of a boy named Henry Hamilton, was executed at Nebraska City by Judge Lynch, on the 17th inst. The circumstances of the murder were as follows:— About a week before the commission of the deed Direcks made a proposal to one of bis friends, named Deitch, to steal some cattle, offering a share of the pro- ceeds when sold, Deitch refused. On the following Sunday the proposition was again made, and again re- fused.
