The surplus of loanable funds continues to scok employment in compound interest and seven-thirty notes. The former have experionced a further advance of % 9 } per cent to-day, the quotations being as fol- fows:—June, 1864, 110%; July, 11034; August, 1095; Ootober, 108%; Decomber, 10754; May, 1865, 1053; August, 103%; September, 1033¢; October, 1025.
