However, the proverb says “‘every dog has his day.’’ Just now Prairio du Chien happens to be the dog’ in power. The market was dull, but prices were very firm at $8 25 for pots, and, nominally, $8 75 for pearls. Breapsrurrs.—Receipts, 7,525 bbls. flour, 1,250 bags corn meal,—2,279 bushels wheat, 95,945.do. corn, 7,823 do. Tye, 6,000 do, malt, and 17,831 do. barley. The demand for State and Western flour was rather mere active, and prices ruled Sc. a i0c, higher, though the improvement was hardly maintained at tho close. However, no ma- terial concessions were mado. The sales were about 10,000 bbis., at our revised quotations. Southern flour was in fair demand and a shade in seilers’ favor.
