The paper was re- ferred. The Finance Committee reported that they have inves- tigated the subject of advertising the proceedings of the ‘Boggd in the Transcript and Leader at the rate of fifteen cents a line, and that they have come to the conclusion ‘that it would be inexpedient to continue the publication ‘ef the proceedings in those journals after the 31st of De- eomber next. The report was adopted. It will be re- membered that this action grew out of a resolution by Commissioner West, one of the Finance Committee, who moved a resolution of inquiry on the subject, and subse- quently argued before the Committee that ont advertiso- ment in the Nsw Yorn Hura in the year would serve tbe public better than el) tho advertivoments of the Tramoript and Leader the year round.
