For some time past, among those who delight in the manly execise of boating, the topic of conversation has been the match between the New York and Newburg crews, The former crew have been well known as mas- ters of their business, having distinguished themselves nobly on deveral occasions. The Now York boat (called after the city whence it bails) hag beon built by Mr. Charies E. Elliott, of Green- point. It is very handeome, and is of the following dimensions :—Length, forty-two feet three inches; width, twenty-two inches; depth, eight inches. It is built of white cedar, and weighs one hundred and twenty-five pounds. Her crew cunsisted of John A. Biglan, stroke; Bernard Bigian, bow oar; the other two oarsmen were Jobn Blue and John. J. Eckerson.
