The following is from the New Orleans papors of the 12tb inst :— Don Mannel Garcia Rejon, the Secretary of Vidaurri, arrived at Brownsville on the 26th ult, He was immed!- ately arrested by General Herron, and delivered to the Mexican authorities at Matamoros, with the request that ho be not allowed to recross the river, as he had been an enemy to the United States. He was shot on the 27th as atraitor to Mexico, Alvarizo had ordered the fortification of the heights of Peregrino. Colonel Vega, the Ideral Governor of San Luis Potosi, aftor routing the traitors under Valentine Cruzo, occupied the city of “‘Revared.”? R, Worten- dyke was elected temporary chairman, aud one secretary from each Congressional district appointed.
