HATTANOOCA. Brilliant Success of General Smith at Lookout Mountain. Goneral Hooker's Forces tacked by the Enemy. ‘The Enemy Repulsed at Every Point, Cuarranooda, Oct. 28, 1863, “Lookout Mountain was yesterday taken by our forces, «the enemy falling back without resistance. Our troops occupy the south side of the river from Bridgeport to Chattanooga, and the river and railroad + are unobstructed. Despatch from General T! as. Wastunarow, Oct. 30,1863. At nine o’clock yesterday morning Major General ‘Thomas telegraphed to the War Department as follows:— Goa.
