All manner of rumors are foating around the stroote in regard to the qovtemplated aetion of different factions in respect to the eounty and Mayoralty elections of ths city, It was stated tn the law courts yeater- day, and wo find it cerroberated in other quarters, that the committee of which John MoKeon is obairman WI Bold @ mocting during tho present weok to nominate @ ticket to be supported at the com: election , ip order to @ten! the march of the other organizations, and thatthe following will be the favorite ticket for the Judiciary — For the Supreme Court, the pfthont ingambent, Jndze Josiah Sitheriand ; Superior Court, Chiot Justice Hos worth ard $ 8. Garvin, in the place of Judge White, re- publican; Common Plows, the preseat inoumbent, Judge Hilton Marine, the present incumbent, Judge MoCarthy , Surrogate, Gideon J. Tucker; Recorder, Judge Hoilman. From other sources we learn that the McKeon delegs- tiop will at the same meeting nominate 0. Godfrey Gua ther for Meyor. and will also nominate a full Logisiative tioket. P. W. Fogs, it mp enid, will have a prominent pow tion on that ticket, with other persons of thal stamp. Thas the ball ts to be opened and the contest to commence Among other things it was atao stated in the Jaw courts that the Mogurt organization would present City Judge Jobo H. MeCunn in opposition to Judge Sutherland, Mr. Yamvel Jones, partner of Judge Barnard, against Chief Sastioe Bosworth ; James M. Smith, Jr., against Recorder Hofman, and Mr. Cordora against Judge Hilton. Judge Sutherland and bis friends depend confidently ‘upon the ability manifested by him in his prt career; Chief Justice Bosworth upon his course during twelve years on the Supreme Court bench, It was also consid- ered certain that Judgo MeCarthy would got the renomina- tion of Mozart and Tammony, Wo give these rumors aa we find them, and leave it to the Convention to show their truth or falsity. Coming from the aource they do gives credence to them, to say nothing of their probability. The rumors and developments of the inst twouty-four hours render the union between Tammany and Mozart np the county ticket somewhat uncertain. It is under stood that Tamminy bas given the Mozartera to under. stand that thoy will untte with no organization in this city that does not endorse the platform uttepted at tho state Convention at Albany. Burthor, that Mozart dole. gations were admitted to that Convention, were present and participated m the adoption of the resolutions, and wre therefore bound by the action taken. It ix under- stood that most of the Mozart maoacers are willing to adopt that platform; but the Hon. Ben. Wood saya u That sublect must be dropped. He ts willing to pars it over stiently and orm a union apd pominate a ticket withont saying anything about tho Albany platiorm. This the Tammany leaders refuse to consent to, and declare that Mozart must adopt the Albany ptatform oe there will be no ovion, The question then arises, will Mozart stand by Hon. Ben, Wood and fils “‘eubnvission to the South” progranme, or throw hon. Wood overboard ‘roma ticket of their own? From present indicotions the organ of Mozart will insist on pissing the platform over im stlence, and will make or break on that. Tarnma ny, we are assured, is ready 10 meet Mozart on (hat inane, and place their candidates on a war platform and xo before the pe ple If, thes, the two orgnmizations do not unite, the Hen. Let us wait pa'icnt ly to see whether tho sumersua statements of seve val leading members of the Mozart General Commit vee, tbat the Mozart organization does not en*orae Wood's views on the war, that the idese adveented by the News are simply the opinions of an individual momber and net of the organization, will prove correct or nat 4 _lively time is at hone Qatte a carious Movement has heen Inaugura ted by some of the Germun politicians.
