Obituary. LIKUTENANT OT@WAY H. BBRBYMAN, U. 8. N. ‘The telegraph conveys to us the mournful intelligence of the death of Licutenant Otway H. Berryman, com- maading the United States steamer Wyandot, off Pensa- cola, on the 20 ives. ‘The death of this highly generous, gentlemanly and efticient officer wili not only bring deep sorrow to his family and frieuds at home, but will be unfeignedly la- mented by hw associates in the service. This sad de- parture from among thym—never to be seen again on earth—will be sadly and deeply felt by all those who have sailed with bim, either as meesmates or shipmates. His joyous, merry laugh, aud bappy disposition; his fine, officer like bearing ana self-possession under all circum: stances, will long be pleasantly remembered by those who were ever asrociated with him. Lieutenant Berryman entered the navy in 1829, and had performed much service at sea, He had been longer in command than avy other one of his grade in the ger- vice.
