In the Breckinridge and Lane Democratic State Conven tion yesterday, a reaolution was adopted modifying the electoral ticket, ‘afd appointing Senators Hunter and Ma Gon,jex-Governor Wise and Meesrs. Smith and Russell as ‘electors. A resolution was also adopted instructing the electors, 4 Mr. Breckivridge cannot be elected, to vote aga unit 60 0s to prevent the election of Mr. Lincoln. Cuantorravitix, August 18, 1860. The correspondence between the two Conventions Ghows that all overtures for a compromize were rejected. Senator Mason, in his speech to-day, declared that the path marked out by Douglas led directly to the abolition camp. ‘Fhe speeches of Benators Mason and Hunter have been requested for publi sation. Late last night a Douglas clectoral ticket was adopted, as George Blow, H. L. Hopkins, J. B. Stoveall, James Gar- Jand, Benjamin Randolph, J. H. Cox, J. B. Ellsworth, G. H. Rowe, G. W. Brent, Isracl Robinson, J. A. Leggett, @. P. Hodge, G. W. Hopkins, ©. T. Stuary and W. G. Brown. ‘The Convention adjourned this evening after a harmo- nious session of three days. ‘The Convention denounced the Charlottesville Commit- tee of Conference as treacherous, and condemned severely ‘the course of the administration. ‘The Convention has directed the electors to vote for Douglas if he can beelected. If he cannot be elected, then to vote so aa to -beat Lincoln. The Convention prefers Bell to Breckinridge. News from Denver City. , Sr, Joaxen, August 18, 1860.
