There is # better feoling among holders since our last. OUR FAMILY MARKET REVIEW. During the past week the retail trade at the Washingten market hag been quite brisk. From the appearance of Mu BULLIC 1h penwimity ta the mashot, te quite appa- rent that the hints thrown out in the Hxraty had heen taken, much to the gratification of the stall keepers and patrons. Yesterday tho market presented quite an ani- mated appearanco—tho butchers, huckstere, and, indeed, every Che connected with the market, appeared to wear smiling countenances; and when the inquiry was made in regard to trade, the mpt response was, ‘First rate, never better.” The frniterers, who, during the winter months, pay strict attention to their legitimate business, appear at this particular time to give their attention to the fate of plants and flowers, and in following this trato up they keep an excellent stock on hand. In passing Ahrough the market the perfume from: the verbonas, geraniums, &¢., creates an exhilarating feeling. In the meat market, prime roastiog tes of beef are worth from 18. a 20c.; bert veal, 9c. a 1dc.; Dest woutton, per quarter, from 2c. a '16c.; lambs, per carcass, $3 D0 a Gamo of all descriptions is ecarce. Wild pigeons aro now sold at Chicago for 60c, per dozen, and in this city they bring $2 50, and scarce at that price. Spring chickens are worth $1 12 por pair, and fowls $1 50 per pair.
