The spring trade being about over, and the former waiting the advent of the new tari, with inclement weather for the season, has caused ucreased languor in the trade, Collections come forward toa fair extent. From the West payments have come for- ward better, on account of the recent high prices in pro- duce, which, however, are again receding. Flour and grain baye both strongly declined this week in this mar- ket. Pork bas aleo exhibited symptoms of depression, However, with good general crops tho present year, and remunerative prices, we expect to witness an improved falltrade, Consi fering the extended character of the dry goods trade, and the flacteations in the money market, | attended with heavy shipments of specie to Kurope, the | trade has stood better and su‘Tered less from failures than was to have been expected. The stocks of domestic goots left over im this market are in some lines large, while in other kinds wey are light.
