The average number of passengers by this Une each trip, has been about three hundred. A new line of screw steamships has been established during the past year to run between Liverpool, St. Jobus, N, F., Halifax and tmnd, the first steamer of which, the Khersonese, sailed from Liverpool on the 23d of August and arrived at Portiand on the 18th of September, bringing one bundred and filty passengers.
