The Gulden Gate left San Francisco Dec. 5, and arrived at Panama on the evening of the 18th. The Supervisors of Mariposa county had assessed the Fremont grant at $1,000,000. The taxes on it are $17,060. Capt. George A. Pratt, who lived at New York of the Pacific, had disappeared, and it was supposed he had been killed. A comet, with a tail ten degrees in length, was seen in the vicinity of Sacramento. A man named Williams, employed as a barkeeper in the Blue Bell saloon, recently tell in an apoplec- tic fit, and died instaatly. He was 27 years of age. T.
