On taking a survey of ths pens it was a, parent that the supply of beeves was extremely limite; particularly of good descriptions, and buyers were very Active in making their selections. Upon eaquiry it wae ascertained that the number offered for ssle was much less than required for the usual weekly consumptizn—be ing only about sixteen bundre!—which had the effact of giving increased stringency to prices. Bat few that could be called really fine cattle were to be seen, aad they were generally held above the views of buyers. One vory fice pair of oxen attracied much attention, and would have sold for something above the current races for what ominated ex'ra. A lot of very fine Pennaylvania sold eragi handred.
