The weather is delightful, lthough the past three days were very disagreeable oues, with rain and wind, extremely cool, which operat- 4 greatly against those sick with the disease. In fact, on Sunday there were from fifty to sixty deaths, and many were put in the ground in common unplaned boxes, Our two hospitals are crowded, but there are a'num- ber of doctors and nurses to wait upon them, and I be- Hove the sick are well taken care of, T learn that seven physicians now Le sick at the Wationai. Dr, Win, H. Freeman, of Philadelphia, leaves for home to-day, but will return the first of next week. This gen- tleman has done as much, if not more, good, than any other doctor amongst us, lost less cases, and made more aapid cures, His temporary absence will be deeply re- fretted by his numerous friends here.
