It is a plain, unvarnished statement of facts, and is therefore entitled to much consideration. The Railroad Journal gives the following reasons why the Albany and Susquehanns Railroad should be oon- structed as speedily as possible. It will connect Albany with the New York and Erie Railroad at Binghamton. Its longth is avout 149 miles It will open & new and most expeditious outlet from the great West It will run through a rich, highly cultiva- ted, and densely populated country. Logally, it must be | ured by @ population of 200,000, about 60 thriving towns and villages, and 15000 farmers, About 300 miles of pro- ductive valleys draim into the line of the road.
