Unbleached domestic shirtings and sheetings are quick of sale at very uniform rates ; sellers being content with the present remunerating prices. Bleached goods are active, the purchases being large in the aggregate. Prices are steady. Ormaburgs are very firm, with a sure ply rather short of thedemand, Denims are in request, at 8c, for all the good styles. Stripes are steady, without activity. Ticks are firm, and rather scarce in desirable qvantities. Canton flannels are yery buoyant, the sup- Ply being short, and the demand good. Sales to arrive are making. Printing cloths are firm at 3c 45% with a moderate demand. Prints are eteady in price, with considerable activity, Dunneil’s styles command the preference. The stock ix sold down very low, The print mills have all made a very profitable business. Ging- bama ave steady, at 10c, for Manchesters, and 10);c, for Glargow and Lancasters, with a light stock. Sulos aro quick on errival of new goods in market. Delaines are in fair demand at fall rates, Only good qualitios are wanted, and these have to sustain a competi tion with the British and French, the istter al- ways commanding a preference. Cloths are active with a deficient stock. Prices are well sustained Fanoy cassimeres are brisk at full prices, The sales this season have been very large, and yet the demand remains good. Satinets are arriving more freely, and to a good market—the demand being quick. Linseys are steady at 16c, a 18¢. Tweeds and jeans are both dull. Flannels are buoyant, at an advance. the demand being active, and supply limited. Blankets are brisk and steady. Shawis are active and firm—fron $4 60a $650. French goods are more active even than domestics. The recent large importations have all been broken into; sales have been large, at prices continually advancing, and a scarcity of some styles of silks «gain exists, Delaines and Cashmers are smovg the most active; but poor and common low priosd goods do not attract. Consumers appear rich, and spend as do the rich, regardless of cost, for the adornment of the person, Black silks have advanced, and good qualitic# are scarce, Fine ribpong are active and buoy, ant. Vestings and laces sell quickly at good prices. Cloths are in request,at full rates. The goods sell 60 readily that further orders have been sent forward for furthor supplies, though {t is understood the rising mar- kets in France wiil prevent the execution of many British goods are in fair activity.
