The tonnage by the Lehigh Navigation Company, for the week nding on Saturday last, was 20.048 tens—one day’s tonnage being lost in celebrating tho Fourth, The Sebuylkill Navigation brought down, for the week ending on Thursday, 21,982 tons, and the Reading railroad, tor the week ending at the same time, 39,068 tons, The Le- high is a little ahead of its tonnage to the same time last year, The Schuylkill Navigation is 73,000 tons ahead, andthe Reading road about 20,000 tons behind. The trade is leoking remarkably well—prices are sustained, and the indications favor a more profitable season to all engaged in anthracite, than almost ever before. Should no accident oceur, all the several lines will increase on their last season’s tonnage, which, with the increased priee of eoal and of tolls, will add materially to the re- ‘venues of operators, and to the carrying companies.
