Doty. —\n tho Late Forrest divores case’ @ witness named William M the trial, in bebalf of Mrs. Forrest. in upoa the stand. that. in the latter part of the month of Jume, 1845 he witnessed Edwin Forrest and Josephine Clifton on board the steamboat Albaay, on the night trip, the samo state room on tho said boat, on their way to Albaay: that after swearing to the above story, Doty ‘was again put upon the stand. and Doty was examined on which Doty swore n explanation swearing. said he had been mistaken, and wished above correct the date—that instead of its being in the year 1843, it was in 1844—and thus swore again to the same alleged facts, all of which Mr. Forrest positively denica, and makes an affidavit before Justice Osborn to that | pect 105 do, meal, 374 do. butter, 27 do. ohi effect.
