Great numbers collected in the vicinity of the depot at the former place to witness his departure, and on his arrival here he found a large crowd waiting to receive him. Senators Bewagd and Shields, with Mr. Beale, the Ser- jeant at Arms of the Senate, and Mr. Wallach, United Btates Marshal of the District of Columbia, received him from the Baltimore Committee. Gen. Bhields took charge of Kossuth,and Mr. Beward of the ladies. The party proceeded in private carriages direct to Brown’s Hotel, where & large comcourse had gathered, who received the guest with every demonstration of re- spect. Kossuth came out on the balcony and bowed to th» people. He then retursed to the reception room, and the Baltimore Committee took leave of him, wishing him health, success, and a long life of continued useful- mesa. The Jackson Democratic Association, of this city, waited upon Kossuth immediately after the termination of his interview with the Hon Danie! Webster, when Mr. J. D. Hoover, in bebalf of the association, delivered an addrees, heartily welcoming the Governor to the na- tional metropolis, and distinctly avowing the doctrine of non-intervention, as proclaimed by him. He also invited him (Kossuth), in behalf of the association, to Participate with them in the celebration of the snni- versary of the battle of New Orieans, on the 8th of Ja- buary.
