It appears, by accou: March, up to the lerest previous dates, the faliiug of in. receipts amounted to 249307 bales; up to the latest. dates, previous to March 20th, $09 343 bales; and up to the latest dates. previous to March 27¢b, 353,844 bales, According to this, there bes been a falling off in re- ceipte, in three weeks of 104037 bales. The ie, that as the season advances the weekly receipts wil! be comparatively Ivas, and the falling off more rapid. Recent advices from Engiand, report a belief in Man— chester of a crop this year of 3.300 000 bales, an amount. at least three hundred thousand bales more than will be Drought tomarket When this fact is presented to the minds of Britieh spinners and speculators, so strong. that they cannot get away from it, we shall see an up- ward movement in prices fore time, equal to amy yet experienced. Notbing in the world but the actual offictal statements of reeripts at our ports, will satisfy those iporedulous epioners on the other side, that our crop will be less than twenty-three hundred bales; and by the time they get their eyes open, and Teally believe thet our sccounts are correct, they will: have to pay an advance on current prices, which will doubtless_teach them not to doubt forthe fature the reporte which from time to time reach them from the cotton growing sections of this country, partisulariy after the turning point in the reason.
