That Mr. Cobb receive the thanke of the party for accepting the vomimation; and that no man, pomioxted by a democratic caucas, could be expected to receive a larger vote than he. 2. That the nominee should be Mr. Cobb, or nebody Mr. Johnson withdrew his resolution, and Mr. Me Lane's amenoment tell with it. Mr. Thompson, of Mivsis-ippi, moved that the caucus now psoceed to a new nomination; to which Mr. Miller, of Ohio, moved an amendment, that the caucus adhere to the original nomiaa- tion.
