Since my last, considerable accession have been made to the visiters at this extensive hotel; they | continue to pour in, and it is expected that on or about the anniversary of our independence, the available space will be of a very circumscribed or- der. The promenade in front of the grand en- trance presents, every evening, after tea, a gay and animated scene—the young and handsome, the aged and venerable looking, the accomplished ' miss, who has just finished her education, the well bred gentleman, the dignified looking matron, and the youth who has but recently been emancipated , from the stringent digeipline of college rales, may | be seen courting health by ae Fagen exercise | and inhaling Cs refreshing serving air. Those who prefer retirement uninter- rupted serenity, with slow and measured step, walk in the garden.
