Klopfer met two young ladies at the foot of the capitol; and, being an in- timate acquaintance, they accepted of his company to see them home. Mr. Wm. Boon, who resides near the city, took down his gun yesterday to shoot troublesome cat, which was standing at the time bya bush near the house. He raised his gun and fired, which was followed immediate- ly by the screaming of a child. On going to the bush he found that his hter had been playing behind the bush at the time he fired, and thata large portion of the shot had entered her face and eyes.
