Our exports are not much hea- vier than they were last year. How it is possible in view of these facts, to believe that specie will not go for- ward, is more thau we can fathom. cease after the shipment of a few millions, the result would not be so ruinous, as we could temporarily spare that amount; but the imporiations have been so enormous, exceeding our exports to so great an extent, that we fear avery long and serious drain.
