Lhave not learned the names of any except the captain, Wetmore.— Her freigt was mostly flour, oi which she had nearly a fallload. Report said she took on board three hundred barreis at St, Josep! The second mate and seven sailors left the ship and swam for the shore—in the attempt oneof the sailors was drowned. The six remaining sailors made their way to u house two miles distant. Discoveny or Lanck Boxrs.—A discovery of the bones of the defunct Mastodon have recently been made ata lick about two 1 ies: rom Warsaw, Mo., which exceed in number and size any yet discovered. The bones were found two or three feet below the surface, embedded in a black gravel. The number of different heads found amounts to seventy or eighty, and the large amount of detached teeth shows that a greater number of these mon- sters has found a common grave in this basin. The skele- tons of various species of animals are found deposited in this basin, as the buffalo, elk, deer, &c.
