The House refused to receive the petition by a majority of 116 to 21 Mr. Pendleton then asked leave to offer a resolution declaratory that Congress had no right to act on the subject of a dissolution of Waion, and he moved a suspension of the rufa toget it before the House, but before the question was taken the House ad- journed.
